Saint Vincent’s Church has a big visual impact. It is situated near Piazza XX Settembre, where there were two mussels stall and every day, there were vegetable and fish market.
It was built in 1600 by Domenicans’ community, who introduced the Saint Vincent Ferreri’s worship and who founded the homonym brotherhood.
In this church, there is also the worship of Maria SS del Rosario in “San Vincenzo”; the sacred image taken in procession during the feast of 4th October, that overlap with San Francesco d’Assisi’s feast.
Di grande impatto visivo, la chiesa di San Vincenzo sorge nei pressi della storica Piazza XX Settembre, dove un tempo c’erano due chioschi di militi e si tenevano il mercato ortofrutticolo e ittico.
È stata fondata nel 1600 dalla comunità dei Domenicani, che introdusse il culto di San Vincenzo Ferreri e l’istituzione dell’omonima Confraternita.
Molto radicato è il culto di Maria SS del Rosario in “San Vincenzo”, la cui sacra effige viene fatta sfilare in processione durante i festeggiamenti del 4 ottobre, che coincidono anche con quelli di San Francesco d’Assisi.
